Jon had some problems with the Domain. It came back up once as I was able to get in but is back down again now. Not sure of status. Given that, I believe the data must be safe. There is a lot of incredible years of work there. Hopefully he will update info here to let us know.

Thank you for the response.  I know my dad was at Tarawa. 

I emailed Jon and no response.  I know that Bob George’s widow Shirley helped fund the website years ago.  I am afraid something went wrong with Jon and all of that valuable information he collected is lost. Go hope everything is okay.  I spent years talking to the Tarawa vets here.

Thanks for posting that. Wonder how many had been at Tarawa. As far as the TOTW site, I wonder if Jon is having problems and cannot run it anymore.

I have been looking for this hand typed muster roll since 1994 and just found it.  My father MTSgt Francis A. Meloro was the communications chief for H&S 2/8 for Saipan and Tinian.  This was his list of men.
