Just flipping the pic for viewing on phone in landscape. I'm 100 in the Pendleton camp. Looks like here. Pendleton just up the road 75 miles. Looks like that area. My guess.

Yeah I figured it out eventually, what a treasure trove on there, always wondered if there was more footage out there, I have pretty much all the movies ever made and even some hard to find ones but was mesmerized watching the silent footage from NZ, and Eleanor Roosevelt with sound talking to the GI's. Wow.
Fantastic site. Just incredible. Did searches on Higgins, Hatch, USMC and everything else I could think of. I think one of the best ones was the one that had the GI's marching in formation through town, what a sight that must have been for the New Zealanders knowing how much a threat the Japanese were.
