There seems to be a HUGE collection from the indy. Tarawa, Saipan, Marshalls etc. Must of been a honest mistake, nothing in collection seems to be in order.
Photos are watermarked by the Navy.
Nice shot of the pier ive never seen before, sorry just took photo of the screen. Sorry.
Warm Regards All

Tarawa Talk / Tanks On Tarawa

Hi Everybody
Stumbled across these photos on a site, claiming these Tanks to be on Tarawa.
One with a Skull on top, and White Stars. The other one seems to fit better.
Ideas?, Thoughts.

Hey Al, awesome to hear from you. The gangs all here. LOL. So so sorry Al for messing up your last name. Afterwards i felt so bad, i remembered you sent me a pdf on what the LVT board signs ment, and there was your name and correct last name, which i buggered up. Then got worried about you and had a sigh of relief when i saw your work on Cpl Claire Eulin Goldtrap, on Missingmarines
Ive said it in the past and will say it now, get the book done my friend, your the LVT research master.
Truly happy to hear from you. Im pretty sure us all on TOTW are the only people to connect so many dots involving LVTs than any other Pacific Battle research group.

Well its not a very nice summer at the moment here in Aotearoa ( New Zealand ) lots of rain, but to all of you, i wish you sun filled happy days, to you and your familys.

Kiaora ( Hi ) Everybody
Remember the old forum on TOTW, there was a gentleman named Al Gerano ( totally may have got last name wrong sorry ). He was the LVT mastermind of the Tarawa LVTs. There was years of research on there, really wish we could get it back.
