Wow. Interesting that the three gun batteries of 80mm weapons at Tarawa on Green Beach and along the ocean shore noted by many writers were actually 76.2mm x 40 caliber Model 1913 Coast Defense pieces according to your posted manual.

There were captured pics of pre invasion Betio. I have seen the common pre invasion pics from fellow members on TOTW, but in this booklet, there were some ive never seen before.
Where are they all, they seem all over the place lol.
Does anybody know the story of how they were all found?. Im sure i read many yars ago in Hammels, 76Hours, a Marine ( cant remember Regiment , but pretty sure a B Co ), found the rolls. Again stress, was awhile ago i read it lol.
