Found in a Follow Me 2ndMar Div Association publication. Always enjoy a first-hand account. Gunny, wasn't  Iron Mike disabled on R1? Looked him up and Perko is who he says. He misspelled his LT's name tho. It's Sisul not Sisyul.

Hey Al! Good to see you are still popping in! Thanks for the update on #11. I do believe gunny mentioned that but could not remember.  Thought it was pretty cool to find out who Iron Mike was named after. There is another article I just found (I bought 4 Follow Me magazines off eBay) in one of the issues  Edward Moore writes about his evacuation and an act of bravery by a Captain on board. Has the aireal  picture of the birds beak where he landed. I know there is a guy who has maintained hard copies of all the follow me mags. I think in his home after 2ndMarDiv association kind of folded. Sure wish we had electronic copies of them all! They would be a gold mine
