Saipan Muster Roll
« on: October 20, 2021, 12:23:43 pm »
I have been looking for this hand typed muster roll since 1994 and just found it.  My father MTSgt Francis A. Meloro was the communications chief for H&S 2/8 for Saipan and Tinian.  This was his list of men.

Thanks for posting that. Wonder how many had been at Tarawa. As far as the TOTW site, I wonder if Jon is having problems and cannot run it anymore.

Thank you for the response.  I know my dad was at Tarawa.

I emailed Jon and no response.  I know that Bob George’s widow Shirley helped fund the website years ago.  I am afraid something went wrong with Jon and all of that valuable information he collected is lost. Go hope everything is okay.  I spent years talking to the Tarawa vets here.

Jon had some problems with the Domain. It came back up once as I was able to get in but is back down again now. Not sure of status. Given that, I believe the data must be safe. There is a lot of incredible years of work there. Hopefully he will update info here to let us know.

Sorry guys for being AWOL.  See my AWOL post for more info.  Tarawa research is secure!
